We study the influence of the confinement (thickness) and processing parameters of the films (withdrawal speed, evaporation rate) on the crystallization of polymers.

Swelling properties

In the form of thin films, the swelling properties of polymers in solvent vapors may be different from the ones of bulk polymers. We study the swelling of thin films of polymers in a controlled atmosphere, using in situ thickness measurement devices. The swelling property of the films are then correlated with the polymer / solvent affinity.
